First Look With: Naked 3

Hey! I hope everybody had an awesome Christmas - I know I definitely did. The partying still isn't over though with it being New Years Eve tomorrow, so this will be my last post of the year, boo!

I was lucky enough to receive the new Naked 3 palette this year and couldn't wait to get playing around with it. I'm a neutrals kind of gal when I go out anywhere, so I always appreciate having the Naked palettes in my collection as they all see a lot of use but this one is my favourite as of yet. I love the rosy hues that form the base of all of the shadows in this one, especially since they work so great against my blue eyes.

When I was going out the other night I threw together this quick and soft smokey look that I liked so much I recreated it again today so I could photograph it!

Wine Holiday Lips

Just getting one last quick post in before it's CHRISTMAS!!! Here's one of my favourite lip colours/combinations for around this time of the year, using one of the best lip shades from the Motives for LaLa lipstick collection (in my opinion!) to demonstrate. You can never go wrong with a rich berry/wine shade during the holidays.

This lipstick is very creamy to begin with and already has a nice sheen to it, but if you're more of a lipgloss girl, it looks equally lush with a gloss placed over the top. Staying true to my current glitter obsession, I added a gloss that has very pretty glitter particles in it.

Festive Gold Glitter Liner

I hope everybody likes glitter because I'm obsessed with using it lately as you can probably already tell... Christmas spirit and everything, obviously, haha.

Glitter liner is one of my favourite things to do. I love how something this simple can be so easily transformed into something more showstopping. I've posted a few different glitter liner looks already and I could hardly miss the chance to do it again since I'm on a glitter rampage.

The sun was out early this afternoon so I managed to snap a decently lighted photo - the first one in a looong time, yay! - before it went away again for the next thousand years.

Black Diamond

Only five more sleeps until Christmas - yay! Here's another glitzy holiday party look for you lovely people that would also look amazing on New Years Eve.

Today I teamed up my gorgeous Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette with a few other products from Motives Cosmetics to bring together this look.

You can see that I use products by both of these brands a lot, and that's because they are awesome and I love them. I've mentioned it on here before, but don't always be put off by some brands marketing techniques because you might just end up missing out on great things that so many people love for a reason. I guess my point is, there are hypes for a reason - some do turn out to be very overrated, but they're always worth looking into.

I also used my favourite pair of Girls With Attitude lashes to finish this glamorous look off perfectly. They're very full and create a lovely flared out effect - always a must have when I'm doing makeup for parties or nights out.

Soft Party Eyes

Hey guys, here's a softer alternative to all of the heavy 'in your face' (which I do love, by the way!) party looks that we usually see cropping up in the makeup comm around this time of year.

Not everyone is comfortable with glitter strewn across their eyes, so I thought it'd be nice to show that you can still look playful and how to make a subtle statement with colour as an alternative to piling on the sparkles but of course you could always amp it up as you please ;)

I personally always go for something dark and smokey at parties and on nights out but I'm going to make it my mission to try out more looks like this over Christmas and New Year.

Cranberry And Gold

Another re-do of a look I first posted online around the same time last year - I love this colour combo for Christmas time and since my skills are a lot better now, I thought I'd give it another go.

I'm having a lot of trouble with lighting lately as we're hardly getting any daylight here in the UK at the minute, and since I only ever use natural lighting I've been struggling to get up as many posts up as I would like around this time of year but hopefully I'll be able to fit a few more in before the year is up...

Winter Sparkles

Only a little over two weeks to go 'till the big man invades our homes again... And that means sparkles and shiny things and stuff, yay!

Haha - it wouldn't be Christmas without glitter (and lots of it), would it? Which brings me to my next makeup look: a smokey glamorous party look with added shimmer to make it extra-showstopping.

This look was achieved using products primarily from Motives, but since it's actually a pretty basic concept you could easily find alternatives in products that you probably already own.

Alexa For Eyeko: Product Info and Review

Not long to go until Christmas now, ladies! As I mentioned here , Eyeko joined forces and collaborated with the stunning Alexa Chung to release their limited edition mascara and eyeliner duo set last month just in time for the holiday season.
