Here is my first pictorial! This was requested by quite a few people on Instagram and I hope some people find this informative and helpful.
Sometimes I'm able to just do my eyeliner without even thinking twice about what technique I'm using as I've been doing winged eyeliner for years now, but here's a simple method that I find quite simple but effective and may be useful to people who struggle with their eyeliner or people who are new to it.

- Start by creating a line that extends from your lower waterline, making it as long or short as you'd like
- Then, starting at the tip of your line you created, drag your brush back on itself to create a triangular shape
- Plot out the shape for the rest of the eye
- Begin filling in your guide
- Once filled in, use what you've already done as a guide to neaten/thicken things up if you need too
- Line your upper waterline to really bring your eyeliner together
Aaaand that's it!
For this pictorial I used Inglot's AMC gel eyeliner in #77 and a Screenface Domed Eyeliner Sable brush.
I love winged liner :) Just takes a lot of practice to do well!
Reply DeletePractice makes perfect :)
Deletewhat brand of eyeliner do you usually use? I'm looking for something a little more eco- or animal-friendly...
Reply DeleteI used MAC Blacktrack and Maybelline EyeStudio gel for quite a while but I'm really loving the Inglot gel shown in this post at the moment :)
DeleteGreat tutorial! You are so good! :)

Thank you, Stella! I'm really pleased that you liked the tutorial.
DeleteCould you please do a review of Inglot's AMC gel liner? Thank you :)
Reply DeleteI have a few things I have in line to post about but I'll try and get one up once I've caught up with everything else :)
DeleteCould you do a mascara tutorial?
Reply Deletei have light eyelashes like you and i can never get them so black! :/ especially at the roots!
I don't really do anything special when applying my mascara, so I'd find it hard to do a tutorial! Do you line your upper waterline? That will help make your lashes appear darker at the roots.
DeleteWhat mascara did you use?
Reply DeleteOh, wow, this was so long ago I'm really not too sure but I have a feeling it was possible one of the Eyeko mascaras.
DeleteAwesome tutorial! I've seen this floating around all over instagram, facebook and Pinterest! Inglot gel eye liner is the best :D
Reply DeleteI really like the essence gel eyeliner!! It's so good and only 4$
Reply Delete20 years of trying and I have never mastered the winged eye liner! I won't give up though :)
Reply DeleteOh and I just want to say you look amazing, like Veronica Lake!

I'd like to see makeup and eyeliner tips for green eyes. b eyeliner tips
Reply DeleteI stumbled across your blog while looking for a color wheel for my 13 year old niece. I'm writing a little manual for her on how to select and apply makeup. I think you have a great blog and can even teach me (someone who's been wearing makeup longer than you've been alive)!!!
Reply DeleteOn seeing these picture whether it is real one or designed one? I can’t able to find these pictures are real one.
